Where is my data stored?
Everything runs locally in your browser using IndexedDB. Nothing is transmitted to any server unless you explicitly export or share a backup file yourself.
Does it handle sales tax for my province?
Yes, GST, HST, PST and QST are all calculated correctly for every Canadian province and territory, not just the largest ones.
What happens if I lose my device or clear my browser?
Encrypted backups with a human-readable recovery key let you restore your full ledger on a new device. Without a backup taken beforehand, locally-stored data can't be recovered, so regular backups matter.
Can my accountant or bookkeeper access this?
Export a full backup or the underlying reports and share them directly, GBooks Air isn't a walled garden. If you work with our bookkeeping team specifically, handoff is built to be seamless.
